The average Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Jan-Feb 08 increased by 2.5% to
107.7 from 105.1 in the same period last year.
This was due to increases in the indices of all the main groups except those of clothing and footwear and communications, which decreased by 0.6% and 0.7% respectively.
Notable increases were recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.2%), housing,
water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.4%) and transport (1%). (Source: The
