The platform or the software are divided into two. One is automatic of which buy and sell signal are given to you automatically . For your part is take the action by calling your rimisier for the buy and sell order. This type of software are known as black box .To name a few among the software are Omnitrader, PTA, Elwave ,Trade Guaider, AGet and thousand of others .
The other group are , the software give you all the indicator but your brain got tweaked the internals indicator to give you the the buy and sell signals.

Both of the group need input data weather it is End of day data or real time or tick data. Its all depand on your trading method weather you are day trader or long term investor.
It is A big NO NO NO for you to buy a pirated copy since on the long run your hard work will not be bless and your profit will not be " Berkat".
So in order to start using TA you need afew thousand dollars to maintain your working arsenal.
But there are few option of which you can minimized the cost by using other website to look at the free chart avaiable. Alas it's not as good as you, yourself having your own arsenal in your hand rather than borrowing other people arsenal to shoot the target.
