Other Use Of handphone.. the seller never tell you

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:
1. Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
Also in Australia , the Australian emergency number 000 can be dialled whilst your mobile phone keyboard is locked. This is another reason why 000 receives so many false emergency calls!
2. Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editors Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!"
3. Hidden Battery Power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.
4. How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone!:
star-hash-zero-six-hash
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
Not only the above, but also in Australia your stolen phone is added to a "Stolen Mobile Phone" database, so if your phone is found later on it can be returned to you.

unlucky

A man was speeding down the highway, feeling secure in a group of cars all traveling at the same speed. However, as they passed a speed trap, he got nailed with an infrared speed detector and was pulled over.

The officer handed him the citation, received his signature and was about to walk away when the man asked, “Officer, I know I was speeding, but I don’t think it’s fair - there were plenty of other cars around me who were going just as fast, so why did I get the ticket?”

“Ever go fishing?” the policeman suddenly asked the man.

“Um, yeah…” the startled man replied.

The officer grinned and added, “Did you ever catch all the fish?”

Earning estimate.. eps..

I wasn't always a good investor. Over the past 30 years I've made just about every mistake imaginable:

Jumped in at the peak

Jumped out too late

Bought falling knives

Doubled down on losers

You name it, I probably did it.

Learn this thing ie earning estimate

earnings estimate revisions [EER] are the most powerful force impacting stock prices

The 3 Top Reasons to Love Earnings Estimate Revisions

1) The Most Fundamentally Sound Metric:

At the end of the day, all stock price movements can be traced back to earnings.

Read that line again so it really sinks in. The reason it's true is from the basic fact that when you buy shares in a company, you are actually buying a percentage ownership stake in that firm. And if you are the owner of a company, big or small, then the single most important metric to gauge success is how much earnings are generated.

If profits go higher than expected, the share price will rise. Conversely if profits go lower than expected, the share price will come down as well. The stock market has always worked on this premise and it always will. And nothing captures the essence of this notion more than earnings estimate revisions.

2) Applies to Every Type of Investor: Because all stock price movements can be traced back to earnings, it follows that earnings should be at the heart of every investment decision. But that is not the same as saying that earnings are the ONLY thing to consider when selecting a stock. That is just the starting point. From there, each investor can layer on other concepts such as value, growth, charts etc. to find the stocks that fit their unique approach.

3) It WORKS!: When you put the philosophy and analogies aside, earnings estimate revisions simply work.

among tools in toolbox

moving average ....
by Jim Wyckoff

Those who have followed my work for some time know that I take a “toolbox” approach to analyzing and trading markets. The more technical and analytical tools I have in my trading toolbox at my disposal, the better my chances for success in trading. One of my favorite "secondary" trading tools is moving averages.

In a past educational feature, I explained how I use my two favorite moving averages: the 9- and 18-period moving averages. In this feature, I will discuss using three moving averages in analyzing and trading a market. It's called the "triple-moving average" method.

The moving average is one of the most commonly used technical tools. In a simple moving average, the mathematical median of the underlying price is calculated over an observation period. Prices (usually closing prices) over this period are added and then divided by the total number of time periods. Every day of the observation period is given the same weighting in simple moving averages. Some moving averages give greater weight to more recent prices in the observation period. These are called exponential or weighted moving averages.

The length of time (the number of bars) calculated in a moving average is very important. Moving averages with shorter time periods normally fluctuate and are likely to give more trading signals. Slower moving averages use longer time periods and display a smoother moving average. The slower averages, however, may be too slow to enable you to establish a long or short position effectively. Moving averages follow the trend while smoothing the price movement. The simple moving average is most commonly combined with other simple moving averages to indicate buy and sell signals.

In the triple-moving-average method, "period" lengths typically consist of short, intermediate, and long-term moving averages. A commonly used system in futures trading is 4-, 9-, and 18period moving averages. Keep in mind a time "period" may be minutes, days, weeks, or even months. Typically, moving averages are used in the shorter time periods, and not on the longer-term weekly and monthly bar charts.

The trading signals generated by a triple moving average may be interpreted as follows: The shorter-term moving average above the longer-term average indicates a bullish market. When the shorter-term moving average crosses below the longer-term moving average, the market is viewed as bearish and a sell signal is generated. If the shorter-term moving average remains below the longer-term moving average, the market is still considered bearish. When the shorter-term average crosses above the longer-term average, a possible reversal to a bearish market is signaled.

The relation of the three moving averages can help to better and more quickly define the strength of the trend and provide shorter-term trading clues. For example, if the 4-period moving average crosses above the 9-period average, but the 9-period is still below the 18-period, that signals a trend change may be on the horizon, but it's best to wait for the 9-period to cross above the 18period for a better reading of the trend change.

The trader who uses shorter timeframes to trade markets is better suited to using the triple-moving-average method--because trading signals are given faster. But keep in mind the shorter the moving average, the greater the potential for false signals.

Here is an important caveat about using moving averages when trading futures markets: They do not work well in choppy or non-trending markets. One can develop a severe case of whiplash using moving averages in choppy, sideways markets. Conversely, in trending markets, moving averages can work very well.

When looking at a daily bar chart, one can plot different moving averages (provided you have the proper charting software) and immediately see if they have worked well at providing buy and sell signals during the past few months of price history on the chart.

As an aside, veteran ag market watchers say the "commodity funds" (the big trading funds that many times seem to dominate futures market trading) follow the 40-day moving average very closely when they trade the grains. Thus, if you see a grain market that is getting ready to cross above or below the 40-day moving average, it just may be that the funds could become more active.

“Let’s offer them ham and eggs?”

“Not so fast,” said the pig testily. “For you, that’s a contribution. For me, it’s a total commitment.”

The United Way realized that it had never received a donation from the city's most successful lawyer. So a United Way volunteer paid the lawyer a visit in his lavish office.

The volunteer opened the meeting by saying, 'Our research shows that even though your annual income is over two million dollars, you don't give a penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give something back to your community through the United Way?'

The lawyer thinks for a minute and says, 'First, did your research also show you that my mother is dying after a long, painful illness and she has huge medical bills that are far beyond her ability to pay?'

Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbles, 'Uh... no, I didn't know that.'

'Secondly,' says the lawyer, ' did it show that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair and is unable to support his wife and six children?

The stricken United Way rep begins to stammer an apology, but is cut off again.

'Thirdly, did your research also show you that my sister's husband died in dreadful car accident, leaving her penniless with a mortgage and three children, one of whom is disabled and another that has learning disabilities requiring an array of private tutors?'

The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, says, 'I'm so sorry, I had no idea.'

And the lawyer says, 'So...if I didn't give any money to them, what makes you think I'd give any to you?

thank all my friends and family who have forwarded chain letters to  in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and continuing it in 2009 also.......

Because of your kindness:

* I stopped drinking Coca Cola after I found out that it's good for removing toilet stains.

* I stopped going to the movies for fear of sitting on a needle infected with AIDS.

* Forwarded hundreds of mails but still waiting for FREE DESKTOP, LAPTOP, CAMERA, CELLPHONE etc….

* I smell like a wet dog since I stopped using deodorants because they cause cancer...

* I don't leave my car in the parking lot or any other place and sometimes I even have to walk about 7 blocks for fear that someone will drug me with a perfume sample and try to rob me.

* I also stopped answering the phone for fear that they may ask me to dial a stupid number and then I get a phone bill with calls to Uganda, Pakistan, Singapore and Tokyo.

* I also stopped drinking anything out of a Can for fear that I will get sick from the rat faeces and urine.

* When I go to parties, I don't look at any girl, no matter how hot she is, for fear that she will take me to a hotel, drug me, then take my kidneys and leave me taking a nap in a bathtub full of ice.

* I also donated all my savings to the Amy Bruce account. A sick girl that was about to die in the hospital about 7,000 times.. (Poor girl! she's been 7 since 1993...)

* Still open to help somebody from Nigeria who wants to use my account to transfer his uncle's property of $ 100 million. So much trustworthy.

* I have forwarded 35 emails to 400 people hoping that Ericsson or Nokia will send me latest mobile phones but those models are also obsolete now.

NOW IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you do not send this e-mail to at least 11,246 people in the next 10 seconds, a bird will Pee on your head today at 6:30pm.

Nothing has happened till now..................... but who knows. So please forward

A teacher, a garbage collector and a lawyer would up at the Gates of Heaven. God informed them that in order to get inside, they would each have to answer one question.

So, he addressed the teacher and asked, "What was the name of the ship that crashed into the iceberg? They also make a movie about it."

The teacher answered quickly, "That would be the Titanic." God let him through the Gate.

He then turned to the garbage man and figuring heaven didn't really need all the odours that this guy would bring him, decided to make the question a little harder: "How many people died on the ship?" Fortunately for him, the man had just seen the movie. "1,228," he answered.

"That's right! You may enter."

God then turned his attention to the lawyer. "Name them."

Repair and Extract content from Corrupted ZIP, RAR, 7Z archives

Compressed archives store numerous files in compact space. These archives sometimes get corrupted when transferring from here to there. Then it becomes virtually impossible to extract the content from it or repair archives. In such case, AutoUnpack is useful to extract content from corrupted archives.

We have already covered Zip Repair which only supported ZIP archives but Auto Unpack can extract content and make it possible to access files inside corrupted ZIP RAR 7Z and TS archives.

Install the program, Provide the source folder which contains Corrupted archives and don’t forget it also supports .001 .002 like splitted archives too. AutoUnpack analyzes this source folder to search for PAR2 files. It uses them to verify the downloaded files that belong to them. If some files are incomplete or missing and there aren’t enough PAR2 repair blocks available, the program will show how many blocks are missing. It will analyze the folder again later. If enough PAR2 repair blocks are available AutoUnpack will repair the missing or incomplete files. Files will be decompressed and saved with respective folder names.

In other words this is a fantastic application, an efficient and powerful little program to be included directly in your toolbox in order to benefit directly when needed

Why Asshole was elected as leader to our body

When God made man, all the parts of the body argued over who would be boss. The brain explained that since he controlled all the parts of the body, he should be boss. The legs argued that since they took the man wherever he wanted to go, they should be boss.

The stomach countered with explanation that since he digested all the food, he should be boss. The eyes said that without them, man would be helpless, so they should be boss. Then the asshole applied for the job. The other parts of the body laughed so hard that the asshole become mad and closed up. After a few days the brain went foggy, the legs got wobby, the stomach got ill, thr eyes got crossed and unable to see. They all cenceded and made the asshole boss. This proves that you dont' have to be a brain to be boss.... just an asshole.

follow the tape... easier said than done

It was busy Friday morning writing my "Glance at the Markets" feature for financials, when I got an email from a trader. He said he was bullish coffee and wanted to go long. All morning long, it seemed, trader emails had been popping up on my computer screen--and many were advocating playing the long side of markets these traders perceived as being at a price low enough to be a "bargain buy." Among my emails Friday morning, another trader was bullish gold, and still another was bullish wheat; another bullish cocoa.

That's when I decided to put away the "Glance" feature and instead write about the perils of "fighting the tape" (trend) in markets. Think about it: Do traders really want to fight the market? Remember, only the markets are ALWAYS right. No one else.

Traders many times think like consumer shoppers think: "I need to buy at bargain-basement prices to get the very best deal." (My wonderful wife many times comes home with a bag full of clothes, saying, "Honey, I just couldn't pass up these bargains; I just had to buy them.") Unfortunately, when trading futures markets (or stocks), thinking like a consumer shopper is unwise and unprofitable. I think one of the major mistakes most traders make is trying to "bargain hunt" and go long a market (or a stock) that he or she perceives as being "low-priced."

The same is true for trying to sell (go short) a market at perceived high prices. Crude oil is a good example here. All this year, the trading landscape has been littered with the carcasses of traders trying to pick a top in crude oil. These top-pickers have so far been brutalized by the market--which is always right.

Don't fight the tape. If the general market trend is one way, do not trade against it. In my "Top 10" trading rules list, rule No.1 is: Are the daily, weekly and monthly charts all in agreement on trend? If I'm thinking about position-trading a market and the aforementioned charts are not in agreement on trend, I'll likely pass on the trade. And I certainly won't initiate a position trade that is against the overall trends shown on the charts.

Some traders may prudently ask, "What about "contrary opinion" trading and the Commitments of Traders (COT) reports showing commercials buying in downtrends? Well, I cannot argue that contrary thinking and trading is valid and is employed successfully by some traders. I have used contrary thinking and trading, myself. But I think that type of trading method is an exception and not the rule, regarding becoming a successful trader. It's a bit like a winning football team with a very good running attack. Their running game makes them a winning team, but they occasionally sprinkle in a pass here and there to keep the defense honest. Also, commercial traders (the big boys in the business) most times seem to be on the right side of the market. However, we as individual traders do not have the resources (research staff, worldwide connections, very deep pockets, etc.) that the commercials enjoy.

Also, when good market trends get underway, even though trend traders don't "catch the bottom" (or the top), there is usually plenty of distance for the market to run to allow good profits to accrue.

emotion in investing

Falling in intense love is often associated with some aspect of threat, fear, worry or shared anxiety. In other words, sometimes smart neurons make dumb choices.

As early as 2000, scientists used brain imaging techniques to demonstrate what are believed to be the first pictures of “the brain in love.” Following up on this work, researchers conducted an experiment that contrasted attraction between the sexes in situations of safety versus fear. They found that, under conditions of strong emotions such as fear and anxiety, the attraction was significantly greater than in safer, less emotionally-provoking situations

Years ago, I traveled a lot -- a nine year gig that took me around the world way too many times for a total of over 1.5 million miles. On an approach to the Rome airport, something happened to the plane. I am not sure exactly what it was, but we thought that perhaps the tail of the plane had been damaged. There were people praying and chanting as we thought it was a crash and everyone was going to die. I looked at the man next to me who was a Finnish scientist of some kind. I had never seen him before we boarded that plane. We put our arms around each other and professed our love for each other. We held each other very tightly and I was in love with this man at the time I knew I was crashing to my death. How silly I felt afterward (as did he), but I will never forget his face, the way he held me and how much I loved him during those frightening moments, which seemed an eternity.

In these situations, the body pours out a variety neurochemicals (dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, phenylethylamine and others) that bond people to each other in certain ways.

Everyone who trades knows the feelings that can come pouring in, and examples are too numerous to mention. We have all felt the anxiety of seeing a position go against us, the fear of missing out or the shame that sets in when we can no longer take the pain and have to sell at a loss.

A day of euphoria can be followed by a day of despair. Fear of missing out, anxiety about losing a position in which we believed, denial that we could possibly have been wrong about our choice of entry, elation when a trade goes well—these and many more examples bring to mind the ups, downs and all-arounds that happen in the markets and in life.

Likewise in trading, the primitive brain areas (rat brain, limbic brain) can take over completely, leaving the newer (cortical areas) shaking their heads and powerless to do anything. The electrical and chemical impulses from the limbic rat brain completely overpower the rational new brain.

That inability to eat or sleep, the obsession with the beloved trades (especially those with high beta), the strange feeling of ennui which creeps in when the markets are not open, the search for excitement and something to do, going a little bit nutso or doing something wild and crazy” just for kicks”, sneaking a peak ( multiple peaks) at the markets while working at another job, trading in the car at lunch hour, trading while driving , constant preoccupation with the markets and trading to the exclusion of family and friends, etc. might be more than just normal curiosity about the beloved.

Are we having an affair with the market mistress? Is this true love? Is it addiction? Are we being seduced, teased, embraced and then abandoned? Are we in a large neurochemical sink where dopamine begets more dopamine and the chemistry of love and passion turns to the chemistry of addiction?

Thanks and Good Trading!

In the early hours of yesterday morning, I picked up the phone and heard a woman sobbing loudly.I did not recognize the phone number or the voice, so I knew it was not a relative or friend.Still half-awake, I asked her how I could help her.It was yet another tale of sorrow, struggle and the inability to make ends meet. She was a single woman who lost her job and turned to scalping in the DJIA mini-futures to make enough money to save her house and pay her bills. She had been trying for four years to trade and was losing steadily. Her equity was going down every day and she was desperate to understand why.
"Why?How can this happen to me?I am smart, educated, good with numbers and even trained myself to be a professional blackjack player. I trade one contract and every time I lose money, I go into a total tailspin.I get so emotional that I can't recover.I thinkI need some kind of medication to get me through thisbecause I am at the end of my rope.
I backtest my system every time I change it and I change it often. When I trade on paper, I make good money, but as soon as I go into the markets, I lose. If I had my job back or any other job, I would leave trading in a heartbeat.I don't know what to do. Please help me?"
In less than ten minutes, I heard almost every mistake a trader can make.Almost.
Symptoms:
Trading with "scared" money Trading from a state of desperation and fear Ruled by emotions and unable to take a loss Changing her trading plan often Trying to be perfect Looking for medication to deal with emotional issues over trading Adopting a trading technique (scalping one futures contract) that is beyond her level of trading competence Attached to the outcome of each trade Not committed to the process of learning to trade-using trading as a temporary "stop-gap" source of income until something else becomes available. Acting out personal dramas in the financial markets

Diagnosis:
Financial Anxiety Disorder ( FAD) with depressive components, leading to maladaptive trading behavior.
Possible gambling addiction. (Not enough information to confirm or deny)

Treatment:
Stop trading and look elsewhere for a source of income.
Find a competent, compassionate, communicative and transparent financial advisor to help with this aspect of her life.
Increase social or family support to mitigate isolation.
Begin a regular program of yoga to reduce anxiety.
Thanks and Good Trading!

A drunk staggers into a bar demanding a beer. The bartender informed him that he was not allowed to serve alcohol to drunken patrons.

After a few harsh words, the bartender suggested to the drunk to prove he wasn't drunk by doing twenty push-ups on the floor.

As he was doing the push-ups, another drunk staggers into the bar and sees this guy on the floor doing push-ups.

He looks at him for a minute and then kicks him in the ribs saying,

"Fella, I think your girl friend has gone home."

All in probabalities

All in probabalities

One of the challenges to becoming a consistently profitable trader is developing the mindset and understanding of how and why a consistently profitable trader can repeat their success. One of the obstacles that stand in the way or prohibit a trader from developing a profitable mindset is emotions. Destructive trading emotion can come from a string of losing trades as well as string of wining trades. One way to keep these emotions at bay is to think in probabilities. Focusing your mind on the probabilities of your edge following through will relieve the pressure of try to predict what is going to happen next.

One way to understand how thinking in probabilities work is by looking at a casino or the gambling industry. A casino makes money because they understand that they have an edge over the games they offer and if they can maintain the odds if their favor with a large enough sample sizes (hands played) they will come out net profitable. This is the exact mindset a trader should take into trading on a daily basis.

By looking at the casino example we answer the question, how can a random outcome produce a consistent result? If you get the odds in your favor and second if you have enough chances to exploit those odds (sample size). Professional consistently profitable traders treat trading like casinos treat their business, simply a numbers game.

To consistently think in probabilities you have to understand that each individual event (trade outcome) is random and unpredictable but independent of each other. On the other hand over a large enough sample size these independent events can create patterns that can produce consistent and predictable results. With unforeseen market events being the random and unpredictable variables, a trade relies on the patterns that emerge of the market price action which are base on fixed constant variables (rules/guidelines of your trading plan) that are design to give you an edge in the market. A profession trader does not know which trades will be winner or losers but understands that if enough trades are executed he/she will come out net profitable. So now consistent profitability is not a function of the market but is a function of how strong you edge is.

money .. and more money

Excerpt from

Janice Dorn, M.D., Ph.D.

www.thetradingdoctor.com

Money is a singular thing. It ranks with love as man's greatest source of joy. And with death as his greatest source of anxiety. Over all history it has oppressed nearly all people in one of two ways: either it has been abundant and very unreliable, or reliable and very scarce. ... John Kenneth Galbraith, "The Age of Uncertainty"

In the spring of 2000, the NASDAQ dropped almost 40% in two weeks. Shortly thereafter, David Owen wrote a great piece in the New Yorker.

Like much satire, the message of this piece is powerful. I am acutely aware that, despite the ongoing market rally, many of you are asking the exact question posed by Mr. Owen.

What Happened To My Money?

Mr. Owen suggests that your money went to be with God in Heaven. He goes on to say that you can never have that money back, but you can dream about it. The money is not there to buy that BMW or pay for your children's college education. Finally, Mr. Owen throws in a couple of sentences about everything being OK as long as you have love and happiness in your hearts.

An interesting thing about satire and self-deprecating humor is that it rings true with so many people. People actually do believe that they still can have that money in their dreams and that one day they may come to be reunited with their money. Until that great reunion, they can have pleasant thoughts about their money and all the things they were/are going to do with it.

Far be in from me to sit in judgment of those ideas. If that is what people believe, and that is the way that they are able to rationalize the loss of money, so be it. If money makes the world go 'round, then different ideas about money may make it go 'round even more. What do I know? What do we really know about all that money?

The one thing I know for sure is that money you have lost is gone. It is no longer in your account. It was in your account--but does that make it your money? No. It is not your money unless you keep it. Unless you do everything in your power to protect your money (risk management, position sizing, stops and profit-taking), you will lose it. Once you lose it, it is no longer your money. In fact, it never was your money. It was sitting there as digits in your account, but it is not actually your money unless you take it.

Seeing your account balances go down is painful. Losing money is a kind of mind-numbing sensation where time passes more slowly, colors are muted, and the sense of self is changed. Losing and continuing to lose are like being pulled downward into a swirling vortex. We feel helpless, panicky, nauseated, fearful, embarrassed, lost and hopeless. We don't know what to do. What happened to all the money that was in our accounts? How could it disappear so quickly? What went wrong?

It is easy to look outside for the source of your own difficulties. It is easy to blame the endless lists of usual suspects: HFT, PPT, QE, POMO, brokers, newsletter writers, government, banks and an endless list of people, places and things. I have even heard people blame their spouses and pets. The list of people, places and things to blame is endless. This type of attitude is just like putting a tiny steri-strip bandage on a large, gaping wound. It doesn't stop the bleeding, and it misses the major issue. This issue is that you and you alone, are responsible for your money. No matter how much displacement, projection or any other so-called neurotic defense mechanism you apply to this situation, it was your decision to put your money into the market. No one forced you or held a gun to your head to make you do it. Once your money is in the market, it is your responsibility to manage it and protect it. If you win (let winning positions run, cut losing positions short, manage risk with positions sizing and stops) it is your own doing. If you lose (take small premature profits, let losing positions run, do not manage risk with stops and position sizing), it is your responsibility.

Legendary trader Victor Sperandeo in his 1993 book "Trader Vic: Methods of a Wall Street Master" (Trader Vic-Methods of a Wall Street Master. Copyright © 1993 by Victor Sperandeo) tells the story of a $4,017.00 hair dryer.

In 1979, he was long 40 wheat contracts when he got an unexpected phone call from a sobbing woman friend. (First mistake is to pick up the phone when you are trading).

He had a mental stop on the contracts (Second mistake is to pick up the phone when you are trading and have a mental stop).

The woman was hysterical and crying so hard that Trader Vic couldn't even understand what she was saying ( Third mistake is to pick up the phone when you are trading with a mental stop and stay on the phone trying to figure out what an hysterical person is trying to say)

After some prodding, Trader Vic found out that this disaster that caused the hysterical outburst was not a divorce, death or major accident. It was a hairdryer. Her hairdryer had stopped working. (Forth mistake is to pick up the phone when you are trading with a mental stop and not hang up immediately when someone has freaked out because of a $17.00 hair dryer.)

After offering to give her $17.00 to buy a hairdryer, he looked at his trading screen to discover that his wheat positions had dropped two cents below his mental stop. In 1979 that turned out to be $100 times 40 contracts and a loss of $4000.00 more than his mental stop had allowed. Add that to the $17.00 he would have to pay for the hairdryer and the total loss was $4017.00. (Fifth mistake--see mistakes one through four and $17.00) .

Trader Vic has a fabulous sense of humor and could laugh at this silliness. Maybe you can too because it happened to someone else who was honest enough to write about it.

Trader Vic channeled Simon and Garfunkel saying: There must be 50 ways to lose your money. Actually there are more than 50 ways, but each one begins and ends with you. Let this be many lessons for you. Every moment in the markets is unique. You are responsible for your thoughts, feelings and actions when you are in a trade. My trading buddy and I often write back and forth about what we call "aggra." It's outside stuff that we each let into our trading day. The commonest cause of aggra is the telephone. Trying for a close second are e-mail and the financial media. The telephone is my enemy. When I am in a trade, I do not pick up the telephone--no matter how many times it rings. Whatever it is can wait. Rarely does any good news come to me on telephone or e-mail. Usually, it's some kind of crisis. Those of you who have been reading my writing for a while know very well about the messes I have created for myself by picking up the telephone. Whatever it is can wait until I am out of the trade. No exceptions. I am responsible.

Get real with yourself and take full accountability for your positions. It's not about the position of the markets, rather about your position in the markets. If you are in a day or scalping trade, don't take your eyes away for even a second. Be fully present. Some of the most remarkable moments of my life are those when I sit alone in absolute silence listening to the music of the markets and watching the ebb and flow of a position. It's absolutely beautiful!

Prepare to discover the incredible possibilities that open up when you begin to develop and evoke personal responsibility. You discover how to be truly accountable for all aspects of your life, including your trading. Prepare to discover the true freedom to choose who you really want to be and what kind of a world you want create for your trading. You are now becoming the person and the trader you truly are.

Man is made or unmade by himself. By the right choice he ascends. As a being of power, intelligence and love, and by the lord of his own thoughts, he holds the key to every situation... James Allen

Thanks and Good Trading!

The Federal Communications Commission calls it “bill shock”: the moment when you get your monthly cell phone bill and, gasp, it’s far more than you thought you had to pay based on the monthly plan. One in six of us has experienced this, according to the FCC’s survey, and much of it is due to overage or roaming charges.

Here are five ways to keep bill shock to a minimum - and actually save some money:

1. Call Customer Service

Call and ask for a better deal. It costs the companies far less to negotiate with you than to lose you as a customer all together. So cell phone companies have customer retention departments for the purpose of offering you perks, deals and discounts to keep you happy. Mention competitors’ deals and that you’ve been a longtime customer.

2. Monitor Usage

While the FCC is pushing to force cell phone companies to alert us before we exceed our monthly minutes, it’s still our responsibility to pay close attention. Otherwise, going over the allotted minutes in your cell plan can cost anywhere from 40 to 50 cents per minute. Reach out to your cell provider to get alerts either via text or by dialing (both free). Verizon users, for example, can call #MIN and get an update via text message. There are also a growing number of free iPhone apps for AT&T customers – like Cell Minute Tracker and OverMyMinutes - that help you track usage and monitor your monthly bill.

3. Try Friends & Family Plans

The term “friends and family” can include anyone you know - it could be a roommate, a boyfriend, girlfriend, or even an upstairs neighbor. If there’s someone you want to pair up with to qualify for the friends and family rate, the savings could be worth it. Just make sure it’s someone you trust: One of you will be on the hook for the entire bill. (You can try to get the bill split up, but the policy varies carrier.) What’s the payoff? At T-Mobile, an $60-per-month personal plan drops to $50 when you add another line: a $120 annual savings. Verizon and T-Mobile, meanwhile, have plans that let you add up to five phone numbers that you can connect to free of charge - regardless of the other person’s carrier, and even if it’s a land line.

4. Use In-Network or Mobile-to-Mobile Minutes

In a similar vein: Ask the people you talk with most who their providers are. If several of them share your carrier - be it AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon – you could get free calls to them if you sign up for an “in-network” minutes plan. This can help avoid running over your minutes each month.

5. Go Prepaid

Pay-as-you-go phones typically cost 10 cents per minute plus a small daily access fee - say, $1 each day the phone is used. It’s like a cell phone with training wheels - and a smart option if you’re on a tight budget, or for parents who want to control their kids’ cell phone usage. Just make sure whatever plan you choose allows you to rollover any minutes you don’t use to the next month.

Please dont be one of these

Nature has many laws that hold fast and true.

For example, a baby ape will always grow-up to be an ape. Likewise, a baby baboon will become an adult baboon.

A baby pig will mature into a full grown pig.

A baby jackass will always become a jackass.

A puppy quickly matures into a dog.

A mongrel pup develops into a cur.

Yet oddly enough, women say a young man may grow-up to be any one of these.

The Pride Of A Japanese but cannot beat the Indian

There was a Japanese who went to India for sightseeing.

On the last day, he hired a cab and told the driver to drive to the Airport.During the journey, a Honda drove past the taxi.

Thereupon, the man leaned out of the window excitedly and yelled, "Honda, very fast! Made in Japan!!!

After a while, a Toyota sped past the taxi and again the Japanese man leaned out of the window and yelled, "Toyota, very fast! Made in Japan!"

And then a Mitsubishi sped past the taxi. For the third time, the Japanese leaned out of the window and yelled, "Mitsubishi, very fast! Made in Japan!"

The driver was a little angry, but he kept quiet. And this went on for quite a number of cars.

Finally, the taxi came to the airport. The fare was 800 rupees!!!!

The Japanese exclaimed, "What?? So expensive!"

There upon, the driver yelled back, "Meter, Made in India VERY VERY FAST !!!!!
