head and shoulder pattern usually refer to the shape of chart pattern resembles shape of man with left shoulder then head then right shoulder . if the pattern was seen on the uptrend the present of the h/s indicate that reversal are bound to happen and new down trend usually occur. If the pattern was seen on the down trend the new uptrending move is about to occur.
In summary head and shoulder pattern are reversal pattern so always on the look out for it.
