If you’re concerned about having enough income for a comfortable retirement, consider downsizing your home. A smaller home can boost your retirement income.
Let’s consider a basic example where you own a $525,000 home and are considering downsizing to a $300,000 home.
They consume cash in retirement, not produce it. And you can figure on it costing about 3% of the value of your home each year to pay the taxes on it, insure it, repair it and maintain it. On a $525,000 house, you’re looking at about $15,000 a year to carry the house.
Let’s say you decide to downsize to a $300,000 house. Assuming the same 3% cost to maintain it, you’re now looking at $9,000 a year; a savings of $6,000, or $500 a month. But that’s not the end of the story.
Assume that after closing costs, you netted $500,000 on your home. Since you bought the new home for $300,00, you’ve got $200,000 available to invest for your retirement. On that $200,000, you can estimate an annual retirement income distribution of somewhere between 4% and 5%, depending on how the markets do. So that $200,000 will produce somewhere between $8,000 and $10,000 of additional income. If your retirement lasts 25 years, that’s another $350,000 to $400,000 of income. Those are big numbers.
Of course, this isn’t the greatest time to sell a home, but it’s a great time to buy one. So on balance, you may not get premium pricing for your big home, but you won’t have to pay a premium price for the smaller home you buy either.
You can always put the big house on the market and see what happens. Real estate is still all about location, and if you’ve got a nice house in a good neighborhood, you might do better than you expect. If you don’t get a buyer at a reasonable price, then it hasn’t cost you anything.
• If you’re nearing retirement and are concerned about having enough income, this may be a strategy you need to pursue even though the housing market is lousy.
What if you’re not retired yet. Does it still make sense to downsize? Well, downsizing today can not only boost your income in retirement, but it can help you accumulate more money for retirement. If you downsize, then the money you’re saving in annual maintenance costs and the lower mortgage payment can all be directed to your retirement plan. This extra cash will help build a bigger pool of assets to produce more income in retirement. And since your housing expenses will be less when you retire, it’s a double benefit.
Bottom line. Downsizing to a smaller house will boost your retirement income.

* Tema "Transformasi ke arah negara maju berpendapatan tinggi", empat strategi
1. Mendaya kembali pelaburan swasta
2. Membangunkan modal insan
3. Mensejahterakan hidup rakyat
4. Memantapkan penyampaian perkhidmatan awam
* Transit aliran berkapasiti tinggi (MRT) di Greater KL (Lembah Klang) akan dilaksanakan mulai tahun depan dan ianya dapat menyediakan pengangkutan awam yang efisien dan selesa serta pantas
* Pembangunan tanah Lembaga Getah Malaysia di Sungai Buloh oleh Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) dengan pembangunan bercampur iaitu kediaman mampu milik, perdagangan industri dan kemudahan prasarana

Membina beberapa laluan pejalan kaki berbumbung di kawasan lingkaran KLCC-Bukit Bintang (RM50 juta)
Duti import ke atas 300 barangan kegemaran pelancong dan rakyat tempatan pada kadar 5% to 30% dimansuhkan antaranya beg tangan, bola golf, dompet, syampu, selimut, kemeja, baju tidur, pakaian dan pakaian malam, seluar dalam dan wangian
* Meningkatkan produktiviti dengan mengalakkan penanaman semula pokok kelapa sawit lama dengan klon baru bermutu tinggi
* Cukai jualan sebanyak 10% ke atas telefon bimbit dikecualikan sepertimana PDA yang tidak dikenakan cukai pada masa ini
* Kawasan Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Subang akan dibangunkan sebagai pusat penyelenggaraan dan membaik pulih kapal terbang serta membei latihan khusus bagi melahirkan pakar dalam bidang ini
* Memberi peluang kedua kepada mereka yang telah disenarai hitam atau tidak dapat berniaga atau membuat pinjaman akibat bankrap
* Kadar cukai perkhidmatan dinaikkan 1% kepada 6%. Di samping itu cukai perkhidmatan akan dikenakan ke atas perkhidmatan penyiaran TV berbayar
* Sistem pendidikan negara akan dirombak dengan memberi penekanan kepada daya pemikiran, sahsiah diri, kreativiti, inovasi dan daya saing. RM6.4 billion akan disediakan bagi membina dan menaik taraf sekolah, asrama, kemudahan dan peralatan serta memartabatkan profesion guru
* Meningkatkan kadar enrolmen prasekolah dengan sasaran 72% menjelang akhir tahun 2011
* Peruntukan RM111 juta untuk program PERMATA
* Memperkasan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT)
1. Menambah peratusan staf akademik berkelulusan PhD kepada 75% (universiti penyelidikan) dan 60% (IPTA lain)
2. Menambah baik peluang kenaikan pangkat pensyarah IPTA
* Penubuhan Majlis Konsultasi Gaji Negara bagi menjadi platform utama dalam penetapan upah yang diwakili oleh majikan, kesatuan kerja, Kerajaan, NGO, individu dan akademia
* Kerajaan akan menguatkuasa gaji pokok minimum untuk pengawal keselamatan kepada RM500 to RM700 sebulan mengikut kawasan compared with RM300 to RM400 pada masa ini mulai Januari 2011
Kenaikan levi secara peringkat mengikut sektor bagi pekerja asing bagi mengurangkan bilangannya di masa akan datang
* Menyeru pihak swasta bagi mengambil pekerja separuh masa wanita terutamanya bagi mereka yang dah kahwin
* Menjenama semula 40 TASKA 1Malaysia bagi membantu golongan wanita yang tidak berkemampuan
* Kerajaan memberi flexibility kepada pekerja wanita untuk menentukan sendiri tempoh Cuti Bersalin bergaji penuh tidak melebihi 90 hari berbanding 60 hari pada masa ini tertakluk kepada kelayakan keseluruhan bilangan Cuti Bersalin sebanyak 300 hari sepanjang tempoh perkhidmatan
* Mengalakkan pembangunan dan penyelidikan sukan sebagai contoh penubuhan Akademi Bola Sepak di Pahang dengan peruntukan RM20 juta bagi melahirkan pemain bola sepak berkualiti dan berkemahiran tinggi
* Program bantuan kepada golongan Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) yang melibatkan RM218 juta yang akan dimanfaatkan oleh 80,000 OKU
* Pengecualian duti eksais dinaikkan daripada 50% kepada 100% ke atas sebuah kenderaan nasional yang dibeli oleh OKU
* Rebat bayaran elektrik sebanyak RM20 sebulan diteruskan sejak ianya diperkenalkan pada tahun 2008 yang mana melibatkan 1 juta pengguna di seluruh negara @RM150 juta
* Pelepasan cukai sebanyak RM5,000 ke atas perbelanjaan perubatan ibu bapa diperluaskan lagi kepada bayaran menghantar ibu bapa ke rumah jagaan harian, bayaran menggaji pembantu khusus menjaga ibu bapa dan perbelanjaan keperluaan harian mereka seperti lampin pakai buang
* RM568 juta disediakan bagi pembinaan 300 unit kediaman (Projek Bantuan Perumahan Bandar), 79,000 unit (Program Perumahan Rakyat) dan 8,000 (Projek Bantuan Sewa Rumah)
* Kerajaan akan memperkenalkan Skim Rumah Pertamaku melalui Cagamas yang menawarkan jaminan Kerajaan ke atas bayaran pendahuluan sebanyak 10% bagi harga rumah di bawah RM220,000 untuk golongan muda yang baru bekerja dan gaji kurang daripada RM3,000 sebulan. Ianya bagi pembelian rumah pertama dan pendapatan isi rumah kurang daripada RM3 ribu sebulan
* Menyedia bekalan air dan elektrik luar bandar di Sabah (RM1.5 bilion) dan Sarawak (RM1.2 bilion) dan semenanjung Malaysia (RM556 juta)
* Menyediakan Unit Khas Bergerak Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) bagi memudahkan penduduk kawasan terpencil di Sabah, Sarawak dan Semenanjung untuk mendaftar kerakyatan
* Peruntukan subsidi sebanyak RM974 juta (padi, baja dan benih padi)
* Menaikkan elaun bulanan pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK) dan Persekutuan (JKKKP), Tok Batin, Pengerusi JKKK Orang Asli dan Pengerusi Kampung Baru from RM450 to RM800
* Elaun Imam dinaikkan from RM450 to RM750 sebulan dan imbuhan bulanan guru KAFA dinaikkan from RM500 to RM800 mulai 1 Januari 2011
* Kadar tol empat lebuhraya PLUS tidak akan dinaikkan bagi tempoh 5 tahun bermula serta-merta
* RM15.2 billion diperuntukan bagi membina hospital baru, menambaah bilangan doktor dan jururawat serta bekalan ubat dan peralatan perubatan
* 1MDB akan menyediakan multi-vitamin untuk pelajar sekolah rendah daripada golongan berpendapatan rendah
* Meringankan beban penjawat awam (gred 54 dan ke bawah) bagi menampung perbelanjaan persiapan sekolah dengan memberi Bantuan Khas Kewangan (Bonus) sebanyak RM500 yang akan dibayar pada bulan Disember 2010. Ianya juga layak bagi pegawai kontrak dan pesara Kerajaan
* Menyambung perkhidmatan Pegawai Khidmat Singkat bagi tempoh setahun lagi yang mana sebelum ini tamat sehingga 31 Disember 2010
* Menaikkan kadar pinjaman perumahan maksimum daripada RM360,000 kepada RM450,000
Ringkasan bajet 2011 yang saya rasa penting, komen mengenai intipati belanjawan ini akan dibuat dari semasa ke semasa kerana banyak perkara yang perlu dibincangkan dan diteliti dari pelbagai sudut.

Zeus was reported to be attacking the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode verification systems introduced in recent years by spoofing Visa and MasterCard enrollment screen. The latest variants can also gather the history of the visited Web sites and other data, which users provide online, while also capturing screenshots of the their desktop.
How ZBot works?
Zbot is known to be distributed mainly via the spam email campaigns and web pages which hosts the trojan. The latest campaign was morphing the LinkedIn login page. Once installed, ZBot modifies the files and folders’ structure, adds registry keys, injects code into several processes like winlogon.exe or svchost.exe, and adds exceptions to the Microsoft Firewall providing backdoor and server capabilities. It also sends sensitive information and listens on several ports for possible commands from the remote attackers’ command-and-control center.
Unfortunately many of the antivirus tools (free as well as paid ones) fail to catch the Zbot trojan all the time. This may be due to the ever-growing list of variants of the trojan.

CHINA PLAYS ITS EURO CARD
China’s premier, Wen Jiabao, announced recently that the Chinese government will support the Euro system’s stability by not selling any of the Euros that the Chinese government owns. China announced this action to improve their political and public relations’ status in Europe, which happens to be their biggest non-Asian export market.
VERY IMPORTANT FED PRONOUNCEMENT—WHICH WE INTERPRET AS MEANING QUANTITATIVE EASING AND INFLATION AHEAD
Several Federal Reserve voting members have aired their views in speeches in the last few days, but no statement was as important as the remarks made a few days ago by William Dudley, the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Dudley clearly stated that he was in favor of more quantitative easing and that he also suggested raising Federal Reserve’s stated inflation goal. He stated that one option would be to copy the UK and set an explicit inflation target, and he expressed that being more explicit about the inflation goal would “clarify the extent to which the current level of inflation falls short of that rate.” Our guess is that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York would initially raise the goal to 2 percent from a current level of 1 percent.
What is interesting to note is that this is actually a reversal of the last 30 years of Fed policy where the Fed has worried about excess inflation and has sought to hold it down. Now, Mr. Dudley is proposing that we try to raise the inflation level to avoid a deflation, which is exactly what we have been stating that the Fed would do as deflation became a concern. In essence, he is suggesting that the Federal Reserve engineer a change from a very small inflation to a larger rate of inflation. If this became the policy (and we believe that it will become the policy very soon), it will have great consequences for investors and their appropriate investment selection. It will favor the countries, stocks, currencies, and commodities that we have mentioned in this letter.
SUMMARY
The new Chinese 5-year plan is promoting more consumer spending and a focus on development in smaller inland regions. China is working on increasing itself in the areas of lower-income housing, consumer spending, and continued the build-out of massive travel, communications, and physical infrastructure.
China is on record as supporting the Euro by not selling any of the Euros that they hold. China announced this action to improve their political status in Europe, which is their biggest export destination outside of Asia.
Inflation, which has heated up in countries like Brazil, India, Indonesia, and many others will make its way to the U.S. and Europe.
Attractive areas for investment include:
• Chinese consumer stocks and currencies.
• Stocks and bonds of nine growing countries in Asia and Latin America, namely India, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. (We may later add Brazil, Australia and Canada to our countries of interest, however we are monitoring political events before doing so.)
• U.S. Stocks
• Gold. Buy dips and sell rallies with your trading positions, but continue to hold a long-term core position that you do not trade.
We still think the Japanese yen is a short. Today’s announcement of further quantitative easing (QE) in Japan is bearish for the yen. Japan’s announcement is a complete turn-about for them. They have announced a 60 billion dollar fund allowing them to purchase a list of riskier assets, including ETF’s, Japanese REITS, commercial paper, corporate paper, and government securities. This is a clear attempt to stimulate the economy away from the stagnation it has been experiencing, and to lower the value of the yen. Japanese interest rates are at zero percent.
Japan’s QE when combined with the QE going on elsewhere provides a strong impetus for price increases in commodities, gold and stocks.

2. PROFIT FROM CHINESE CONSUMER STOCKS
In China’s 12th ‘Five-Year Plan’, senior officials have announced that China will concentrate on building a stronger consumer economy in the years from 2011-2015.
China will reinforce their intention to increase the percentage of consumer spending from the current 35 percent of GDP to 45 percent or more. This will create many jobs in industries such as airlines, hotels, retailing, restaurants, educational services, and consumer services. Currently, China’s population of consumers is already increasing. The Chinese public is spending their new-found wealth and upgrading their dietary habits to include more protein. This plan will create a stronger, more diversified economy.
The industries that will benefit from this growth include:
• Food Production - Farm equipment, fertilizer, and farm products producers
• Travel - Hotels, travel agencies, airlines, and tour operators
• Education – For-profit schools and tutoring service providers
• Retailing - Restaurants and retail stores
• Manufacturing – Manufacturers of consumer products, including school supplies, electronics, automobiles, automobile parts, home appliances, clothing, sporting goods, and luxury goods.

3. PROFIT FROM THE CONTINUED LIQUIDITY FLOWING INTO RAPIDLY GROWING EMERGING ECONOMIES
Our favorite growth-bound economies continue to be Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, China, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
These countries are experiencing capital inflows as China and other countries decide to diversify their investments more broadly into growing countries’ currencies, stocks, bonds, resources, and real estate.
Investors in all markets should remember that any investment can (and will) decline from time to time. People periodically take profits. Markets correct as investors shift their attention from risk-taking to more defensive positions, and vise versa.
Investors can take a more deflationary market outlook. The argument will be that the world is falling into a deflationary depression, so they will sell stocks in these fast-growing countries and seek the “safety” of European or U.S. bonds. This same psychology caused some to incorrectly predict an economic decline in China in the second half of 2010, this has not happened. China’s economy continues to grow rapidly.
We hold the view that no government in existence will knowingly act to create a deflation, and that all governments will act to stimulate economic activity and reverse deflationary trends. We believe that it will be a wise course of action to buy the markets mentioned above during periods of correction with a five-year investment horizon.
4. PROFIT FROM PURCHASING GOLD AND HARD ASSETS DURING PERIODS OF WEAKNESS
Gold is the ultimate currency and the store of value that will benefit most from a U.S. dollar decline. Investors should buy gold on dips and hold gold for part of your portfolio.
Investors should also look for opportunities in income-producing real estate properties with strong rental demand.
WHAT ARE THE LESSONS FROM THE RECENT MOVEMENTS OF COMMODITIES PRICES?
Inflation is creeping up, in many growing countries. This inflation will gradually be imported to the U.S. and Europe through higher priced imports due to rising commodity prices, and a weak U.S. dollar and Euro.
The prices of commodities priced in dollars or Euros are rising. As you know, many global commodities are priced in U.S. dollars. Below, we examine four commodities: gold, oil, copper, and corn. They are all up in U.S. dollar terms over these past few months. They are also up versus the U.S. dollar index, which is an index that represents the U.S. dollar’s value versus a basket of other currencies. Currently, the basket represented by the index is weighted as follows: Euro (57.6%), Japanese Yen (13.6%), British Pound (11.9%), Canadian Dollar (9.1%), Swiss Franc (3.6%), and Swedish Krona (3.6%).

We learn two major things from this:
1. The price increases of gold and oil have lagged the price increases of food and copper over the period. We expect the gold price to catch up.

There are five components to trading well:
1. The trading process. The things you need to do on a day-to-day basis to be a good trader.
2. The wealth process. Exploring your relationship with money and why you do or do not have enough to trade with. For example, most people believe that they win the money game by having the most toys and that they can have it all right now if their monthly payments are low enough. This means that they save zero dollars and are over their heads in debt. If this is you, it also means that you don’t have enough money to trade.
3. Developing and maintaining a business plan to guide your trading. Trading is as much a business as is any other area. The entry requirements are much easier because all you have to do is deposit money in an account, sign a few forms, and start trading. However, the entry requirements for successful trading require that you master all the areas listed here. That requires a lot of commitment, which most people do not have. Instead, they want trading to be easy, fast, and very profitable.
4. Developing a system. People often consider their system to be the magic secret for picking the right stocks or commodities. In reality, entry into the market is one of the least important aspects of good trading. The keys to a moneymaking system are elements such as determining your objectives and the way you exit a position.
5. Position sizing to meet your objectives. We’ve discovered through our simulation games that 100 people at the end of a set of 50 trades will have 100 different equities. (They all get the same 100 trade results). This extreme variability of performance can be attributed to only two factors: how much they risked on each trade (i.e., position sizing) and the personal psychology that determined their position sizing decision.
Based on the five components of trading well, rate yourself by asking the following questions:
How well have I mastered the discipline of trading well each day? Do I do a daily self-analysis or a daily mental rehearsal to begin each day? If not, why not? (I will give you a lot of ideas about how to improve in this area throughout the Super Trader book).
Do I really have enough money for trading to make sense? If you do not, you probably need to work on yourself and the wealth process.
Do I have a working business plan to guide my trading? If you don’t, you are not alone. We estimate that only about 5% of traders have a written business plan. Then again, perhaps you’ve heard that only about 5% to 10% of all traders are really successful. Super Trader will guide you toward developing this kind of working document.

AS in previous missive these two telecom services .. axiata and telekom we are still holding.. the other two we are still holding are ammb and mbb.. these are all for investment folio.. but our knm is for trading,, from the look of knm it it does not seem nice.. time will time
since there are alot of head in our office .. some heads like trading and some heads like investing.. we have to compromise somehow to please the team... if trading fails us then no more trading .. that for sure we will make..

We have seen this movement before.. it happen again and again
The chart above is from our blog which show the movement of klci in real time,
the chart showed that the ci open strongly at the open then turn weak later on ... we left the blog 4.30pm thinking that ci will be in negatif territory today.. but to our suprise when we check the closing price .. its up nearly 2 points.
What does it mean?... we saw it many times before it happen.. the klci move this way for a couple of weeks ago then it had happen many times years ago...
historically when klci moves this way the KLCI was really in BULLISH NOTES.. i f pattern and history can be used as an indicator ... so the klci as in the present situation is really in BULLISH NOTES..

If TA is of any use then technically it may be due to fib extn of 1.0 had been reach,, and at the same time stochastic have hook down.. until all indicator have change positif and together when fundamental news eg eps and profit and all other fundamental data had change and convinced people positif perception then thing will change.. meaning if both in harmony TA and FA then we can see the price range naik dramatically... not like today ..naik miniscule only
If we look at chart in this cylic momentum movement from the low jan 2010 to high of may 2010 ... clearly it has pass .618 fib and 1.0 fib without any problem..
Now the Ci had passed the 1.0 fib and now it is facing some hesitation to proceed to the 1.5 fib extension ie 1490 level.. dan 1.618 level at 1500 level

Can it pass the 1.5fib extn and 1.618 fib line ... from the look of it.. the tren line is up and macd is up .. so until stoch ( now its -ve) turn +ve it will having some problem .. after that then there will in sync with macd only then the new power will set in...

Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working
Windows Explorer is an essential program of the Windows operating system. It is one of the backbones of the operating system powering not only file browsing and operations but also the taskbar and start menu.
The message “Windows Explorer has stopped working” is relatively common judging from the number of web pages and solutions that users and webmasters have posted over the years on the Internet.
The goal of this troubleshooting guide is to provide users who are experiencing the Windows Explorer error with the most common solutions and fixes.
Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working
Solution 1: File Check
This solution checks the operating system for missing and corrupt files and replaces them with the original file version to make sure only valid files are used. This helps in cases of data corruption and malicious attacks that have modified or deleted core operating system files.
1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
2. In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be prompted to type the password for an administrator account. Click Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password. Then, click Continue.
3. At the command prompt, type Sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER..
Solution 2: Scan Disk
The files and folders may be valid but it can still be that the hard drive has bad sectors or other problems that lead to this Windows Explorer error message. Scanning the hard drive that Windows is installed on for disk errors is another option to resolve the issue.
1. Open the Start Menu and click on the computer link.
2. Right-click the hard drive that Windows is installed on (usually c:) and select Properties from the context menu.
3. Switch to the Tools tab and select the Check Now button under Error-checking
4. Make sure that both options are selected before you press the Start button.
5. The Disk check needs to be scheduled as the disk is in use when the operating system is running. It will start the scan automatically on the next startup.
Solution 3: Updates
Make sure your system is up to date. Check for Windows updates (via Start button > all programs > Windows Update) and software updates if the software is running in the background. Make sure you update drivers for the hardware as well (especially video card)
Solution 4: Scan the system with security software
A virus or other malicious software might be the cause for the issues with Windows Explorer. Scanning the system with security applications ensures that no virus or other malicious code is running on the system that is causing the problems.
Check out this extensive listing of security applications. Recommended are for instance Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, DrWeb and Gmer. You might want to run at least one program in the categories anti-malware/spyware, anti-rootkit and anti-virus.
Solution 5: Disable Third party services and tools
Another possible cause for the Windows Explorer has stopped working error message is a third party program or service that might be conflicting with it.
To eliminate that possibility we need to disable all third party services and programs. This is best done in the System Configuration tool.
1. Click on the start button, type in msconfig in the run form and select the Msconfig tool from the search results.

Solution 7: Corrupt non-system files
The error message can appear if the Windows desktop or the startup directory of Windows Explorer contains corrupt files. The most common cause are multimedia files that are corrupt. It can also be that you are only experiencing the issue when opening a specific folder or drive in Windows Explorer.
Try to locate the corrupt file and move it or delete it so that it resolves the problems. If you cannot use Windows Explorer to delete or mote the files use the command line to do so.
This sevens solutions have resolved the “Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working” issue in the past. You might want to check the Event Viewer if the problem persists or fall back to a previous system restore point to resolve it.
